PlateCue is designed to minimize data collection. The planned v1 app stores meal logs locally on the device unless the user chooses features that require server processing.

Data Used

Meal photos may be sent to a backend for AI analysis. The backend is designed to process images in request memory only and not store raw photos. The app may store derived meal entries, goals, and preferences locally.

Health And Fitness Data

HealthKit is deferred from v1. If added later, HealthKit data will only be used for user-facing nutrition and goal features and will not be used for advertising, tracking, or resale.

Controls

Users can export local data and delete local PlateCue data from settings. Production backend deletion requirements will be finalized before launch if server-side accounts are added.
